Free Blogging Tools You Can Try Before You Buy

If you are a new blogger, you can create your own stunning website including your own domain name at a minimal cost. But after you create that stunning website, you will need tools for future  post or if you plan to grow and monetize your blog. Luckily, there are tons of effective tools out there that you can use today. There are free and paid tools and I am always on the lookout for free and effective tools. Here is a list of my  favorite blogging tools.

1. Stock Photos

Images are a very important detail to your website. It needs to stand out and look like a Pro. So, pick your images carefully. This is my shortlist of sites with great free stock photos. Some of these offer paid membership for exclusive stock photos.

2. Photo Editor

  • Canva

    • It is a graphic design tool that allows you to create beautiful images. It provides different templates and an option to customize image sizes. Not only that it’s free but it is also easy to use. They have a paid plan if you need options that are not available in the free plan.

  • PicMonkey 

    • It is a great photo editor that transform your photos and provides lots of templates and effects to create great images. They have a free trial if you want to check it out.

3. Marketing


  • MailChimp is also a marketing tool that you can use to grow your subscribers. You can sign up for the free version up to a number of subscribers. Options are limited but it is a good start to gain subscribers or followers for free. Learn how to create forms, landing pages, and other opt-in forms before you purchase the product.

  • Tailwind is a smart scheduling tool you can use for Pinterest and Instagram. If you are marketing your products on Pinterest or Instagram, this is the perfect tool for you. It features the Smart Scheduler, Hashtag Finder and Smart Loop.  You can maximize your reach by scheduling your pin and post at the best times of the day  as suggested in your Tailwind account. 4. Keyword Planning

  • Google Keyword Planner

    •  This is a great free tool that’s included with your Google account. It will allow you to see what words are receiving more searches online. You can use the keyword planner to figure out what keyword or combination of keywords you should use according to Google statistics. So, plan ahead. Search for your keywords before you start writing any post.

  • Ubersuggest

    • It is a free keyword research tool that  provides a keyword overview, keyword ideas, and SERP analysis for a particular keyword you search. Keyword ideas are pulled using Google Suggest and Adwords. The SERP analysis will display top 100 sites that rank for a particular keyword.

  • Keywords Everywhere  

      • Keywords Everywhere extension can be installed in Google Chrome or Firefox. Here is a video that will guide you on how to install the extension, get the API key and how to search and save your keywords.
